After the pressure of losing weight for the wedding I completely stopped going to the gym. I ate basically however I wanted for months and, to be honest, it felt good for a minute. I have to say that this satisfaction did not last for long. I finally have decided to get back into the gym again and take care of my body. Nothing feels better than feeling and looking healthy. So, what am I doing to ensure that a change is made?
1. Making realistic goals.
I am not shooting to reach an unrealistic weight or pants size. I am shooting for a size and weight that I know is healthy for me and a pants size in which I feel comfortable. 15 lbs is my ultimate weight loss goal. I know that this goal cannot be reached by eating hotdogs with the guys and appetizers after 10pm at Applebees. I realize that I must watch what I am eating and make healthier decisions.
2. Well Rounded/ Goal Oriented Workout
My workouts have been an excuse to simply say that I am doing them in the past. If I am not challenging myself I am not going to look any different. This is somthing that I have learned from past experiences. I am now setting goals for my cardio my increasing time on machines and distance. I am also increasing reps for weights as well.
3. Surrounding myself with Positive Healthy Tips
I have been focus on pinning realistic goals and tips on pinterest. Not bodies that are unrealistic for me or out of reach, but motivational images and guidelines. This is something that I feel motivates me to reach my goals and be reminded of what I am working so hard for.
I will be trying some new fitness tips that I find and posting about them in the near future! Stay tuned!
